Is there a planner from Disney that can help me plan my trip?

Hi Lynn, and welcome to planDisney!

I’m glad you stopped by with your question. While there isn’t an official Disney “trip planner” who assists Guests directly with booking and planning vacations, that’s exactly why planDisney exists. We’re a group of Disney-loving Guests who have spent years visiting the parks, staying at the resorts, and navigating the ins and outs of a Walt Disney World vacation. Our goal is to share what we’ve learned so you can make the best decisions for your own trip!

When you start planning a Walt Disney World vacation, there are a few key things to think about: when to visit, how long to stay, where to stay, how you like to vacation, and whether you want to include some of the optional add-ons that make a trip even more seamless, like the Disney Dining Plan or Memory Maker.

Let’s start with where to stay. Disney Resorts Collection hotels are grouped into three main categories: Value, Moderate, and Deluxe. Value Resorts, like Disney’s Pop Century Resort, are great for families who plan to spend most of their time in the parks but still want themed fun and convenient transportation. Moderate Resorts, such as Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, offer a bit more space, beautiful theming, and extra amenities like table-service restaurants. Deluxe Resorts, including Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort or Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, feature the most luxurious accommodations, prime locations, and easy access to the parks, many within walking distance or a quick ride on the monorail or Disney Skyliner.

Next up are theme park tickets. You can purchase base tickets that allow entry into one park per day, or Park Hopper tickets, which let you visit multiple parks in a single day. If you’re planning a longer trip, the Park Hopper option can give you flexibility, like starting your morning in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and ending your night watching fireworks at EPCOT.

As for the Disney Dining Plan, it’s available again for Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels as part of a vacation package. You can choose from the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, which is great for more casual, on-the-go meals, or the Disney Dining Plan, which includes both quick-service and table-service meals, which is perfect if you enjoy dining at themed restaurants or character meals.

Lastly, consider adding Memory Maker, which allows you to download all the Disney PhotoPass photos captured during your trip. From ride photos to family portraits in front of Cinderella Castle, it’s a great way to preserve your memories without having to be behind the camera.

Now that you’ve got a sense of the big pieces—resort, tickets, dining, and photos—you can visit the Walt Disney World Family Vacation Guide to explore these options in more detail. Once you’ve decided where to stay and what to include, you can easily book your vacation package right on the Walt Disney World website.

And of course, if you want to talk through the details or advice based on your family’s travel style, stop back by planDisney anytime. I’d be happy to walk you through every step of the process.

    See you real soon,
    Brent
