I have planned vacations at WDW and am used to setting up kosher meals at restaurants there. We are thinking about trying a cruise in 2016. Do we need to know which meals we want each day in advance? Are there options on Castaway Cay? Quick service option?

    Hi, Rachel!

I spoke with Disney Cruise Line Special Services about kosher dining needs, and they provided lots of great information! With advance notice, DCL does their best to accommodate requests for kosher meals. There are no kosher kitchens onboard the ships, so kosher meals are provided by an outside company. Meals are double-wrapped and served on trays.

Guests who want to keep kosher are encouraged to dine in full-service dining rooms for all meals, and discuss requests for kosher meals with the Head Server before ordering. Due to limited galley/preparation space at Quick Service locations, special dietary requests may not be accommodated there. If you'd like kosher meals available on Castaway Cay, simply speak with your Head Server before you arrive at the island.

Here's a sample of selections offered, subject to change and availability:

Breakfast: Cheese Blintzes/Hash Browns, Cheese Omelet/Home Fries, Variety of Cereals

    Soups/Bread/Salads
: Consomme of Matzoh Ball, Garden Vegetable Soup, Challah Bread, Garden Salad

Entrees: Brisket of Beef with Brown Gravy, Honey Glazed Breast of Chicken, Cheese Lasagna, Baked Filet of Salmon

Kids Meals: Hot Dog in a Bun with Potato Croquette, Macaroni and Cheese, Chicken Tenders with Potato Croquette, Cheese Pizza

Desserts: Chocolate Layer Cake, Apple Strudel, Non-Dairy Cheesecake, Chocolate Chip Cookies

Disney Cruise Line is happy to accommodate special dietary needs or requests - you simply need to let them know when you book your cruise! I hope this helps with your planning and preparation for a Disney Cruise vacation. - Diane W.
