Welcome to planDisney, Ryan, and congratulations on planning a vacation to Walt Disney World! Connecting your reservation to the
My Disney Experience app is key for all the planning you're going to do between now and your arrival day, so I'm happy to walk you through how to set it up.
To start, open up the My Disney Experience app and tap the main menu in the bottom right corner. Scroll down the page to the "Account" menu and select "Link to Account". Along the top of the page, you'll see a few options, and you'll want to select the tab that says "Type ID". Here, you'll be able to copy the confirmation number from your
Resort Hotel reservation and link it to your account. You can also link admission media by using the ID number from your ticket purchase. Both of these numbers are typically found in the email you received with the confirmation of your booking. If you booked directly through the Walt Disney World Resort website, it's possible that your reservations are already linked, so check the "Future Plans" link in the main menu to see if your plans are already listed there!
Ryan, once you've linked your reservations to your My Disney Experience account, it's off to the races!
Dining reservations will open up 60 days in advance of your arrival, and I think it's never too early to start browsing menus and thinking about which Table Service restaurants you want to add to your plans. If you're having trouble deciding where to eat, write back to us and we'd be happy to make some recommendations for dining reservations for your trip!
I hope this answers your question, Ryan, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
