I've planned a trip to WDW with my 3 yr old son for 9/9-9/12, 2nd time visiting but my original plan is not working out so I am frantically looking for a Disney value hotel to book that my son will enjoy and that wont take forever to get to and from, HELP!

    Hi Ashleigh,

Hakuna Matata! As a Disney Mom, I hope that I can help you feel less frantic and steer you back to the fun of planning a WDW vacation.

The Disney value hotels are the All-Star resorts (Music, Movies and Sports) and the Pop Century resort.

In addition, the Art of Animation hotel will open up summer of 2012 with family suites being unveiled first. Standard rooms will follow near the end of 2012.

I'm not certain if your dates are for this year (possibly October) or if you are planning for next September.

If you are looking at traveling soon, I would suggest Pop Century due to the more efficient bus service from this resort to all of the WDW theme parks. It seems more efficient because it has dedicated buses that service only Pop Century. All of the value hotels provide bus service to the WDW theme parks as well as Downtown Disney and the water parks, however the All-Star resorts tend to share buses.

If you are hoping to travel in September 2012, I would consider the Art of Animation as it'll be brand new and is going to have some wonderful features such as family suites. These may be more pricey so if they don't fit your budget, stick with Pop Century.

If you find yourself frantic still (or again), just let us know!
