Hi, I planned a trip to WDW with my son for the end of July. When do we receive the package with our MagicBands? I haven't told him about our trip because I'm planning a surprise which includes the bands.

Hello Adreana, thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great planning question.

I am so excited to hear that you are planning a surprise trip for your little prince. There is nothing more exciting than getting a little Pixie Dust in your mailbox as your trip is approaching. Hopefully, you have already completed your MagicBand order in My Disney Experience. If you have not done so already, sign in to My Disney Experience and click on the “MagicBands and Cards” tab. If your order has not been completed, you will see a countdown telling you how many days you have to complete your order. Once you confirm your address, you can customize the color a MagicBand for each member of your travel party and personalize them with a name or nickname. You can still make changes to your order until about 30 days before your arrival date.

You will receive a notification in My Disney Experience to let you know that you MagicBands have shipped. If you submitted your order early, you should receive them approximately 2 -3 weeks before your check-in date. I usually complete my order at least 30 days before my check-in date. If you plan to use Disney’s Magical Express, don’t forget to pack your MagicBands in your carry-on bags. You will need them to check in with the Cast Member at Magical Express and to unlock the door to your Resort Hotel Room. Your son is going to have an amazing time. If you have any more questions, please come back and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
