I planned a trip hoping to visit EPCOT, online it is saying the day I was planning to go (10/2/21) EPCOT is not available? is there a chance it becomes open?

    Hi Lauren,

Thank you for dropping by planDisney with a question!

I am glad to see you thinking about the Disney Park Pass system. My best advice is twofold -1) Keep checking! I have seen availability change on the theme park reservation availability calendar and 2) Actually try to make a park pass reservation for the day. I was trying to make a park pass reservation for a day that was not showing availability one day and, after a few tries, I was able to make one!

Having said that, you are visiting at what I anticipate to be a very busy time of year since The World's Most Magical Celebration will be launched! So while availability can change, it may not. My best advice is to keep checking that availability calendar and then actually try to make a reservation periodically no matter what the reservation availability calendar says.

If you purchase theme park tickets with the Park Hopper® Option, you could also try to park hop over to EPCOT later in the day. If the park is at capacity, you may not gain admission, but it is worth a try. On our most recent visit, we were able to park hop without trouble, but the crowds were lighter than what I anticipate for The World's Most Magical Celebration.

Lauren, stay hopeful! Park pass availability could change at any moment. If you are definitely visiting during that time, also be sure to have a few advanced dining reservations. Even though we use Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, we prefer advanced dining reservations because we have a child with significant food allergies and we just like having a definitive time to dine!

    Magic and memories,
