We have planned a trip to Disney in June, we just learned that our son's surgeon is relocating to Orlando and we were able to get an appt during our stay, How can we arrange transport to the Disney Children's hospital??/

Hi Robyn!  I believe your best bet to secure transportation to an Orlando hospital will be by cab.  If you are staying at a resort that offers valet service they will be happy to arrange a cab at the time you request. If you are staying at any other resort ask the front desk or concierge desk to help you call for a taxi.  If you will be needing a car seat have them request that as well to be sure one will arrive with what you need.

You can also check to see what a one day rental would be for a car.  Alamo and National have rentals through the Disney Car Care center (407-824-3470) and they do have complimentary shuttle service.  Some of the resorts on Hotel Plaza Blvd have car rental desks in their lobbies.  If you are staying in the EPCOT area you can rent a car from National at the Walt Disney World Dolphin resort.  My husband always found the rates here much higher then airport rates so be prepared.

Your final option would be to hire a limo/town car to take you to the hospital and wait until you are ready to return to your resort.  Inquire at your front desk for the name and number of one of the area companies.  This would be the most expensive choice but also the most convenient as it would be door to door pickup and return.
