Hi, I have planned a trip for me and my daughter to go to Disney World for Thanksgiving. I would like to know how popular is it for a single mom to attend with her child. I know everything there is so family oriented.

    Hi Jacquelyn,

You are correct that Walt Disney World is very family-oriented, no matter what the makeup of your family is. I've been to the parks and resorts with just my husband, with our entire family, alone with one of my daughters and in a group with adult friends.

Regardless of who is in your traveling party or what the composition of your family group, you will receive the same famous Walt Disney World guest service and hospitality. So please don't stress about feeling out of place. You will be surrounded by families of all kinds.

My family spent last Thanksgiving at Walt Disney World and we had a fabulous time. We plan to go back this year. It's a very festive time, but one piece of advice: Make your dining reservations for Thanksgiving Day as soon as possible if you have your heart set on a particular dining experience. The most popular restaurants fill up fast, especially on holidays.

I hope that helps. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you as you make your plans. Enjoy your holiday vacation with your daughter!
