Welcome to planDisney, Kiersten!
You're only a few weeks away from your Magical vacation; how exciting! Let's make sure that your daughter's birthday is as full of pixie dust as Tinker Bell's bag.
Kiersten, I'm sorry to hear that one of your daughter's friends has been injured. Please pass along wishes for a speedy recovery from all of us hEAR at planDisney.
While certainly not the merriest of situations, I'm happy to report that you're welcome to
re-assign a wholly unused ticket. You'll first need to make sure that you are connected to the new ticket recipient through your
My Family & Friends list. If you haven't done this before, check out
THIS question and answer by my fellow panelist, Anne Marie.
Now, Kiersten, I recently re-assigned a ticket and it's quick and easy. Since the ticket in question was previously assigned to your daughter's friend, either she or the person who manages her plans will need to reassign the ticket using the following steps. First you'll need to log into your My Disney Experience account and click on "My Plans." From this page scroll down until you see the "Daily Itinerary" section. Here you'll see the option to click on "Tickets & Memory Maker." Then you'll see all of the people connected to your account and the option to re-assign tickets.
Kiersten in the past I have had to re-assign the same ticket multiple times because of changing plans, so if you need to re-assign the ticket to your daughter and then connect to a new friend, you should be able to do so without issue.
I hope this helps as you're looking ahead your trip full of birthday fun! If you have any advanced dining reservations and would like to add-on a Celebration cake, please take a look at
THIS LIST of participating restaurants. We celebrated my son's 10th birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort just this past June and loved having the cake option for his birthday dinner.
Come on back to planDisney with any other questions you might have and enjoy every moment celebrating your own Disney Princess.
