We had planned to stay at AoA (Nemo suite) with our kids ( ages 7, 5, 3 and 1), but are now wondering if BLT 1 bdrm villa might be a better option. Plan to spend 2 days MK, 1 day AK, 1 day HS. What's more convenient w/little ones who may need naps? Thx.

    Hi Anita,

You are choosing between two wonderful resorts. I toured Disney's Art of Animation Resort recently, and it is simply amazing. My family loves staying at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.

If I were choosing between the two given your situation, I would choose Disney's Bay Lake Tower.  This recommendation is based largely on the fact that you are looking for convenience for naps. Disney's Bay Lake Tower and Disney's Contemporary Resort are the only resorts to which you can walk from Magic Kingdom Park. It's amazing for nap time convenience. From Disney's Art of Animation Resort, you would need to take a bus to all three theme parks you plan to visit. From Disney's Bay Lake Tower, you would still need to take a bus to Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios; however, that walking distance to Magic Kingdom Park for half of the days of your trip could be the decision maker. Even if you have a car, you would still need to drive to all of the parks from Disney's Art of Animation Resort, whereas from Disney's Bay Lake Tower you would only need to drive to Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Another reason I would chose Disney's Bay Lake Tower is the in-room amenities. In a one-bedroom villa at Disney's Bay Lake Tower, you will have a full kitchen. The suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort do have a small refrigerator and microwave; however, I love the large refrigerator, full stove and oven in a one-bedroom villa at Disney's Bay Lake Tower. This gives you the option of cooking more substantial meals at your resort. Also, the one-bedroom villa at Bay Lake Tower has a washer and dryer in the villa. I throw in a load of laundry nearly every night that we are at Walt Disney World. This way, I can pack less, and even go home with a suitcase full of clean clothes!

Have a great time planning your trip, Anita, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
