Planned 7 night cruise and then I heard about the mil hopper and 40% of resorts so I thought if we're spending the airfare, we might as well go to DW. So we have 6 nights at the Poly and then cruise.Kids will be 5 and 2 1/2. Will this be too much for them?

Howdy Delisa! This sounds like a magical trip of a lifetime!

We experienced something similar in 2008 (at the time my kiddos were 2 and 4). There were a couple of times that you could tell they needed a little less stimulation than what they can experience non-stop while at Walt Disney World.

So...we adapted. Because we had the luxury of time on our hands, we slowed down. Instead of getting up and having everyone rush to get ready and over to a Theme Park, we took our time each morning, enjoyed more time at our Resort in the afternoon and went at a pace that allowed everyone to enjoy quality time doing the must do attractions on their list. It worked so well that we have adopted a similar style each trip, regardless of the number of nights we will be there. As they get older, we will probably go go go but this pace works well for us now and it might be something you will want to consider.

Planning will be key, as it is with most any vacation at Walt Disney World. Make a plan to experience your must do attractions and then anything else you do will be a bonus.

You might also think about your meals when you are at Disney World. My hubby and I took one trip (before kids) where we had substantial table service meals 2+ times per day. It was too much food for us and by the end of our trip, the last thing we wanted was more food despite the fact everything was amazing! Had we have gone from there to a Disney Cruise, the delicious meals onboard would not have been as enjoyable as they should have been because we had indulged earlier in the week.

Will there be times that you second guess yourself as to whether your vacation was just too much for little ones? Possibly. Will you have a magical vacation filled with memories you will treasure for a lifetime? YES!

Just take things one day at a time. Focus on your must do attractions and adapt when needed. I could not be anymore excited for you! It's going to be amazing!
