Hi Julia, welcome to planDisney!
Military families know a thing or two about living in the moment and being flexible when it comes to planning travel dates. I support your efforts to plan a magical last-minute Walt Disney World Resort getaway and will do everything in my power to make sure you have enough information to make an informed decision about your next steps.
Disney Military Salute tickets offer incredible savings to Eligible Service Members and their families. Unfortunately, these tickets cannot be purchased on
Disneyworld.disney.go.com. An Eligible Service Member or their spouse can purchase up to six of these magical tickets per year in one of four ways: in-person at a Base Ticket Office, in-person or online from the
Shades of Green Ticket Office, or in-person at a ticket window located outside the entrance to each theme park. Since you're arriving in five days, you'll have to purchase your tickets in person if you wish to take advantage of the Disney Military Salute ticket offer. Disney Military Salute tickets that do not come directly from Shades of Green must be activated by a Cast Member at Guest Relations or a ticket window prior to theme park entry. Valid military ID must be shown. If it's convenient, these tickets can also be purchased and activated in person at the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs.
Valid admission and a theme park reservation for each park day are currently required for theme park entry. A glance at the
theme park reservation availability calendar shows some parks are not available on your travel dates. The good news is that purchasing Disney Military Salute Tickets with the
Park Hopper Option lets you visit more than one park each day. Let's say you'd like to visit Magic Kingdom Park on Friday, July 1. At this moment, Magic Kingdom Park is not available on that date. Once you've purchased your tickets and
linked them to your My Disney Experience account, you can make a
theme park reservation for EPCOT that day. After spending the first part of your day at EPCOT, you can "hop" over to Magic Kingdom Park once park-hopping hours begin at 2:00 p.m. If you stay until the
park closes at 11:00 p.m. that gives you eight hours of Magic Kingdom fun! Kindly note that you only need to make a theme park reservation for the first park you enter and that you must enter that park before park hopping.
I hope this is helpful information, Julia. Thank you for your service. Have a red, white, and beautiful vacation!
Plan magic; planDisney.
