Hello!! I planned a last minute trip to Disney World for October 29-Nov 3rd. We plan on just doing 1 day at each park during that time. What days should we spend in each park? We also want to go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

    Hi Alisha,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Some of my most favorite and fun trips to Walt Disney World were last-minute trips! My first suggestion is to check out the online Park Hours calendar for your visit. You'll see scheduled operating hours and Extra Magic Hours for each theme park. You'll also see that Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is scheduled for two of the nights of your stay. I'd say start with purchasing your tickets to one of the parties and build out the rest of your plan from there. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party begins at 7:00 p.m. and continues its spooky fun til midnight. In my experience, Guests with tickets to the party have been permitted to enter Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4:00 p.m. though that earlier admission time is not a guaranteed entry time.

Once you know which day you'll be spending at Magic Kingdom Park, you can fill in your remaining days. You have a couple of options to guide you. One approach is to start with FastPass+ selections. For example, if you see that Slinky Dog Dash has an available FastPass+ selection for Thursday, you can make Thursday your Disney's Hollywood Studios day. Another approach is to base your choice around restaurant reservations. For example, if Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is on your favorites list and has a reservation for Thursday, you can make Thursday your Epcot day.

In general, I think if you make a plan that starts with Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and fill it out with visits to the other parks based on FastPass+ selections or restaurant reservations, you'll have a great plan.

Alisha, here's wishing you a wonderfully fun last-minute trip.

    Enjoy your Disney!

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
