Hi Danniella,
I love that you want to start your vacation with a stop to
Disney Springs, formerly known as Downtown Disney. Disney Springs has added some amazing restaurants. I have an entire list to try on my next trip.
When you land, you must allow at least three hours for a reservation at a restaurant outside of your resort especially with children. This allows for landing, deplaning, possibly grabbing luggage, heading to
Disney's Magical Express and heading to your resort. Disney's Magical Express does a loop of multiple resorts and you may not be the first stop.
At this point, you can choose to check-in or head immediately to Disney Springs. I would not make a reservation before 9:00 pm if it was me and I am experienced navigating the airport to the resort.
My recommendation would be to relax and eat at
Disney's Art of Animation.
Landscape of Flavors is a great food option. There are more options besides chicken nuggets and hamburgers.
Also, you want to be fresh for your first full day at Walt Disney World.
Wishing you a magical vacation!
Beth
