    I planned our first trip to WDW in september we have 153 days to go! i am getting overwhelmed with info i would like to know is it a good idea to plan everything before we leave like what parks on what days and where to eat? if so is their a planning guide

    Hi Teneisha!

    Depending on when exactly you are going, the parks may be more or less crowded than average.  For the busier times of the year, I definitely recommend making a plan before leaving and making Advanced Dining Reservations (ADR).  The plan doesn't have to be perfect and you can always adjust it on the fly, but I believe it really helps a lot.  I wouldn't plan every minute of every day.  In fact, I usually just plan which park I'll be in on a give day and any Table Service (full service) restaurants I want t o dine at while there; sometimes I make an ADR just for dinner and sometimes I make one for lunch as well.  I almost never make one for breakfast unless it's a special occasion.

    You have plenty of time before your trip, so you should relax.  However, if you feel overwhelmed, then I highly recommend picking up a good tour book.  My two favorites are "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World" co-authored by Len Testa and "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  I think Julie's and Mike's book is better for the first time or infrequent visitor, only because it is full of beautiful color photographs which can be useful.

    Another good resource is "The Disney Food Blog Guide to Walt Disney World Dining" by my good friend AJ Wolfe.  At the moment, it's just an e-Book, but it's great.  I highly recommend it.
