So I planned our first Disney Family Christmas Vacation and we are supposed to check out on Christmas day but is it possible since it is Christmas to get a late check out so that we can have time to relax a bit and open presents etc?

    Hi there Elora!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Mom's Panel. Christmas at Walt Disney World...I can't think of anything better! I can certainly understand your desire for a little later check-out on Christmas Day. There are definitely times when a request for late check-out can be accommodated. Depending on several factors, the Resort manager would be the one to make that decision. I suggest that you talk to the Cast Member at the Resort registration desk when you check in and inform him of your request. I know they will do everything they can to honor that request if at all possible.

That said, keep in mind that the holiday season is a busy time and Resorts may not have the same flexibility with check out times that they would have other times of the year. I would recommend that you make your request and then be flexible. Hopefully with a little luck and an extra sprinkling of pixie dust it will work out the way you hope. I'm crossing my fingers for you!

Please let us know if there is anything else we can to do help you as you plan your magical Disney vacation. Have a wonderful day!
