I planned family trip is coming up in the month of December. Does Walt Disney World allow gimbal which does not extend like a selfie stick? I know this question has been asked but I haven't seen the question asked this year.

Howdy Joshua, and welcome to planDisney

Oh my garland! December is one of my favorite months to visit Walt Disney World. The resorts and theme parks are adorned with gorgeous seasonal decorations, and everything feels extra magical this time of year. You're in for a holly jolly vacation!

It sounds like you're looking to capture the majesty of the holiday season and carefully planning your camera equipment accordingly. As long as your Gimbal does not extend like a selfie stick, you are permitted to bring it into the theme parks with you; it is not currently on the list of prohibited items. You may be asked to stow and secure it on certain attractions, so pay attention to Cast Member announcements and rules as you board.

I hope you have a fantastic time on your December trip. In addition to the holiday happenings, you'll be arriving just a couple of months into the 50th-anniversary celebration. Be sure to check out the Disney Parks Blog and follow planDisney on social media for updates on all of the excitement you'll experience during this momentous year. Thanks for sending your question our way, and we'll see ya real soon!

Wishing you a very merry visit,
    Betsy

Greetings! I'm Betsy, a middle school teacher, wife, and mom of two. My family and I love to travel the world, but our best memories are those made when we're visiting Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort. No matter how many times we visit, there is always something new to see, ride, or eat at the Disney Parks. Learn More About Betsy
