I've planned ending our itinerary at the entrance of the showcase an hour to 2 hours prior to the beginning of Illuminations (for the "best view"). I see that FP is used also for this spot;will we have to move from our staked spot?

    Hi Marilyn,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

If you’re planning to watch IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at the “front” of World Showcase Lagoon, facing The American Adventure, that area is reserved for Guests who have selected that viewing area as part of their day’s FastPass+ selections. If you and your party didn’t include viewing for IllumiNations as part of your day’s selections, you will be asked to move from your spot.

That being said, I’ll let you in on a little secret… I’ve seen IllumiNations from that location and, while it’s an excellent spot, it’s not my preferred location for the show! My favourite spot is, hands down, near Germany, near the Friendship Launch Boat dock. I’m close to my World Showcase addiction, Karamell-Küche (their caramel popcorn is to die for) you have a perfect view of the show AND I’ve found that I can walk up and get a great spot, even when it’s a relatively busy day at Epcot, 20 minutes (and sometimes even less) before the show. I highly recommend altering your itinerary to watch the show from there.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,
