Hello, Randall,
I’m sorry to hear your plans to visit the Disneyland Resort with your family didn’t work out as anticipated. And I’m wishing on a star that your family recovers quickly and are well again soon.
Although Disneyland Resort
theme park tickets are non-refundable, it is still possible to unlock the magic of tickets for a visit at another time. First, canceling an existing
theme park reservation can be done from the "
My Theme Park Reservations" page of the Disneyland Resort website. Click the “Cancel Reservation” link to advance through that process. Don’t worry if you have more than just those two tickets included on the same park reservation. You will be prompted to select only the tickets that need to have their reservations canceled at this time. So if you happen to have a reservation for your Magic Key pass and any tickets for other Guests that will still be able to go to the parks, you can keep it in place.
When you are ready to invite your family (or other friends or family if the same party cannot be re-assembled) to the Disneyland Resort again using the unused tickets, you may return to the "
My Theme Park Reservations" page to book a new reservation for another available date that is suitable for your party. Because your tickets are one-day tickets, be sure to check the
one-day ticket tier dates. You will want to be aware of the ticket expiration date as well. You can find the expiration date in your original ticket confirmation email.
Tony’s Tip: If for some reason you are unable to use the tickets before they expire,
hakuna matata! It means “no worries.” In most cases, you may use the amount paid for a wholly unused theme park ticket
toward the cost of a new ticket Disneyland Resort eticket of equal or greater value. I recommend that you keep your purchase confirmation information for such situations. It can help the upgrade process go more smoothly.
Randall, your dreams of a magical visit to the Disneyland Resort with your visiting family may not have worked out this time. But as a fellow
Magic Key holder myself, I understand the desire to share the adventure of a visit to The Happiest Place on Earth with others. So I’m hopeful things will work out for you and your family at another time in the not-too-distant future.
See ya real soon!
~Tony
