We have planned a Disney World vacation in November, and we are not staying at a Disney resort. Where can we get magic bands and how much do they cost?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Amy!

As a Guest staying off-property, you can purchase MagicBands before your vacation begins. Buy them from the shopDisney online store, or via the Shop Disney Parks app. Both will give you the current availability and pricing information of many MagicBands designs.

If you opt to wait until arriving on-property to buy MagicBands, please use the app to locate your favorite MagicBands designs. Alternatively, visit one of the MagicBand on Demand stations – at select merchandise locations – to create and personalize your MagicBands.

I recommend linking ALL Theme Park Tickets, and MagicBands, via your My Disney Experience account. This will allow you to reserve 3 FastPass+ choices for select attractions, entertainment, and Character Greetings up to 30 days in advance of each theme park visit day. Furthermore, you'll enjoy the added flexibility of being able to change FastPass+ selections via a mobile phone or at FastPass+ Kiosks, subject to availability.

Disney Mom Tip: Do purchase the Memory Maker in advance and link it to your My Disney Experience account too. Then wear your MagicBands on attractions offering Disney PhotoPass® photos and videos. Also, whenever you cross paths with Disney PhotoPass® Service photographers, ask them for Magic Shots and Animated Magic Shots. They are so much fun!

Wishing you a most memorable visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
