we planned a disney vacation & cruise with a pre and post cruise hotel stay on disney properties. The cruise was cancelled as the new Wish delivery was delayed. I am trying to make sure everything is cancelled and keep track of any credits

    Ahoy Toby!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for sending us your question today! I am so sorry to hear that your magical trip was cancelled, and I hope that I can bring a touch of magic back to your day. I completely understand how disappointed you must be, but don't forget what Cinderella always said: if you keep on believing, the dream that you "Wish" will come true.

Now, let's talk about how you can cancel or reschedule your magical vacation. Firstly, I am sure you already know you may expect a full refund for your cruise. For your Resort hotel reservation, the process might vary slightly depending on your reservation type. If you log into your My Disney Experience account online and click on "My Plans," you should be able to locate your Resort hotel reservation and cancel it from there. If you do not have this option, you will have to cancel your Resort hotel reservation by phone. Since your trip is still a couple of months away, you should be able to receive a full refund minus cancellation fees assessed by third-party hotels or suppliers, non-refundable special events, travel protection plans and other costs. If you were to cancel your trip within 30 to two days of your visit, you would be charged a $200.00 cancellation fee, so I would recommend cancelling your reservation as soon as possible! Secondly, if you have theme park tickets and reservations, you may also cancel those online. Theme park reservations can be cancelled by logging into your My Disney Experience account online or on your mobile app by going into the "My Plans" or "Future Plans" section. As for your tickets, theme park tickets are unfortunately non-refundable. However, unused tickets do not expire and can be used as a credit when purchasing new theme park tickets of equal or higher value. To use your credit, make sure to contact a Cast Member, as they are the only ones who will be able to see your unused tickets once they expire.

In the meantime, you do not have to miss out on the magic! My fellow co-panelist and cruise expert Andrew was in the same boat (literally), but he did not let the cancellation of his magical trip bring him down. On the day that his cruise was set to sail, Andrew planned a cruise-themed weekend at home, complete with decorations, souvenirs from his past cruises, homemade versions of his favourite Disney snacks and even allocated deck time! When my trips were cancelled, I turned my bedroom into Disney's Animal Kingdom, my favourite park! I had a big picture of the Tree of Life printed as a mosaic to put on my wall and added some fake vegetation here and there. There are so many ways to bring the magic home, and I hope that we gave you some ideas for your own homemade Disney vacation!

I hope this was helpful, Toby, and that you and your loved ones get to experience the Disney magic real soon. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your next Disney trip, please don't hesitate to reach out! We are always *ferry* happy to help.

Have a magical day and *sea* ya real soon,
