We have planned a 20th anniversary Disney Cruise for next May (we got married at the Polynesian!) However, we plan to stay a night or two at Disney World before we set sail. Do you have any suggestions on how to celebrate without going into the parks?

    Hello Kuleen,
Warmest congratulations on your 20th anniversary; that's quite a magical milestone to have reached!
I see you've already made some fantastic choices by opting to return to where it all began for you; Disney's Polynesian Resort. This lush and dreamy Resort provides a perfect setting for romance with walks hand-in-hand across the beach at sunset then perhaps enjoying a cocktail in your own Premium Cabana just in time to catch Wishes nighttime spectacular.  As a side note: you may already be aware that Disney's Polynesian Resort is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment, however luckily for you it's reportedly due for completion sometime in early 2015.
Being a British Mum on the Disney Parks Moms Panel the partaking of tea is a subject dear to my heart; with this in mind I'd like to suggest Afternoon Tea at Garden View Tea Room as a practically perfect way to celebrate your anniversary.
How about an evening marveling at the acrobatic performers at La Nouba - by Cirque du Soleil?  This visually stunning show is unmissable and could be just the ticket for you.
I'm so excited to know you've also planned a romantic Disney Cruise as part of your celebrations next May; be sure to check out the fantastic planning advice offered at the Disney Parks Moms Panel - Disney Cruise Line page.
    Have a great Disney day.
