Welcome to planDisney, Kimberly,
It seems you are planning quite a big event. Can you please adopt me? A big trip to the Disneyland Resort sounds pretty magical to me!
A Cast Member with the Walt Disney Travel Company may be just who you need to help with booking
Vacation Packages to the Disneyland Resort. It’s a convenient way to arrange for both theme park tickets and hotel reservations. With such a large group, you may want to place a phone call to the
Vacation Packages support line to work out the nuances and details involved. I am happy to share some additional thoughts to consider as you proceed with making your plans.
My dear friend Adrianna shares some information about some of the larger
suite options available at the Disneyland Hotel. When my family visits the Disneyland Resort, we often choose to stay at a nearby
Good Neighbor Hotel because many offer larger rooms to suit our large family. If you stay off-site, I highly recommend selecting a hotel or hotels that are within close walking distance. At the end of a long day of fun in the theme parks, your feet will thank you for that choice! And your wallet will thank you for the savings of lower transportation costs.
When making dining reservations, it is very important to plan well in advance. Most dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance. Be aware that many restaurants are quite popular. In some cases, it may be necessary to check for reservation availability quite early in the morning 60 days before your visit to the restaurant. My planDisney pal Lisa has some terrific
tips for booking dining reservations for large parties.
The Disneyland Resort has a couple of options for discounted rates for large groups. These options are geared toward either a youth camp experience with
Disney Imagination Campus or a business meeting/convention type of experience supported by the
Disney Meetings & Events team. If either of those options looks like the type of event you are planning, you’ll want to place a
phone call to the respective group that supports your needs. For another cost-savings approach, fellow planDisney Panelist Kristen suggests checking if anyone in your group happens to be an active duty or retired member of the U.S. military. If so, I highly recommend
reaching out to Kristen directly for advice on maximizing discounts and benefits available to our heroes of the armed services. Be sure to check the latest Disneyland Resort
offers and discounts too.
Tony’s Tip: When booking Vacation Packages with the Walt Disney Travel Company, I always opt to pay using Disney Gift Cards. By purchasing these convenient cards at a discount from retailers or warehouse clubs near me, I’m able to find significant savings. Gift cards can be combined and managed online at the Disney Gift Card site for even more convenience.
You’ve got an exciting task to perform as you help make some magic for your large crew, Kimberly. May the Force be with you as you move forward with your plans. Please feel free to stop by the planDisney Panel again if you have any more questions.
~Tony
