Hi, Cara!
I'm happy to hear you're planning a September visit to the Disneyland Resort. It's a great time to visit!
I love
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and have stayed there many times. Stepping into the gorgeous Arts and Crafts style lobby is like being transported to California in the early 1900s. In my opinion, the biggest benefit of staying at this hotel is proximity, as it is definitely the most conveniently located. The exclusive entrance to Disney California Adventure Park means you can go from your hotel room to the park in less than five minutes! Your kids are the perfect age for one of the bunk bed rooms and will really enjoy the Redwood Pool and water slide during the warm Southern California afternoons!
However, I’m also a big fan of the
Disneyland Hotel. The rooms are incredibly spacious, the furnishings are chic with a touch of retro Disneyland charm, and you’ll see nods to Walt Disney and Disneyland Park in the décor. The etched wood headboards allow Guests to enjoy an in-room music and “fireworks” show with the flip of a switch—it’s the perfect way to end a magical day! Although it is a few minutes further from the parks (but closer to the monorail, however), it offers a lot of Disney magic for a smaller price tag. As a Guest of one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels, you’ll still have access to that exclusive Disney California Adventure Park entrance.
If you’d rather pay less and don't mind walking a bit further to and from your hotel room, the Disneyland Hotel is a fabulous option rich with history and special touches that won’t disappoint. Please don’t hesitate to ask me any other questions as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted vacation, Cara!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
