Planing my son's 5th birthday at the parks. It will be just me and him. Whats a great dinner for us? we will be going to animal kingdom and Hollywood studios. Late Nov. Staying at Pop Century. Help??

    Hey Samantha!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this question! There is no better place to celebrate a 5th Birthday than at Walt Disney World Resort! Be sure to pick up a "Happy Birthday" button for your son upon check-in or at any Guest Relations location.

I would suggest Tusker House Restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park for your son's birthday dinner. This is one of my family's favorite Character Dining locations. Safari Donald Duck and his friends are all there, and the delicious African-inspired food is served buffet-style at dinner. There's also a kids buffet with many kid-friendly options. My kids love when Donald Duck and his pals lead a parade around the restaurant. In fact, my five-year-old got to hold Goofy's hand in the parade during our visit last month - it was an unforgettable moment!

I would also recommend taking a look at T-REX at Disney Springs. It is so much fun to dine among prehistoric creatures, and my kids love the periodic meteor showers! If your son likes dinosaurs, T-REX would be a great choice!

Quick Tip: Be sure to take a look at the Customize Your Special Occasion page on the Walt Disney World Resort website where you can personalize your celebration!

I hope this helps with your birthday planning! Please let me know if you have any other questions about your very special upcoming visit; I'm happy to help!
