Hi! We are planing a first week in May DW visit. Can you tell me what the crowds are like during this time of year? Love the panel! Thanks

Hi Lesa. Based upon my experience, early May is a fine time to visit.   I have personally been to Disney around this time twice before and I recall the crowds being quite reasonable.

On your behalf, I checked with the website maintained by my favorite visitor's guide (Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World) that shows a daily crowd projection. By comparison, this week is noted as being considerably lighter than compared to the weeks throughout April and those in late May (due to Easter Holidays/Spring Break and Memorial Day). Another positive is the weather is generally quite nice, being warm (but not too hot) and generally dry.

So, I believe this a fine time to visit. Hope this helps and have a great time!
