i am planing our first Disney trip for next year and i am looking for any help to go and have the best experience on a budget. we are a family of six with four kids ageing at time of the trip 11,9,8,6. what are the best places to eat, and things to do.

    Hi, Willie!

Nothing makes a parent's vacation better than having SPACE for everyone to spread out, so you may want to consider a Family Suite at Disney's All-Star Music Resort. Ready for the best part? With this Value Family Suite, Dad and Mom get their own bedroom, bathroom, and TV! The kids can share the living area that has pull out sofas that sleep up to 4 guests, and will have their own TV and bathroom as well. I think this is set-up will really be perfect for your family of 6.

A Family Suite will have a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Use this space to make a quick breakfast of muffins, breakfast bars, cereal, or anything quick and easy. There is a small market in the main building where you can buy some snacks to feed your gang. This will save money and time in the mornings if you just have breakfast in the room.

For dinner, consider eating at your resort's food court and ordering whole pizzas, a delicious and economical dinner.  This will be a fun way to enjoy your resort, as you have dinner pool side. My kids love to have a pool side dinner at least once every trip we take to Disney World! It is a tradition in our family that they always look forward to.

You might want to splurge for one meal during your trip and enjoy a character meal. Plan for a late breakfast or early dinner, so you can have just 2 meals that day.

Finally, budget ahead for your souvenirs. I suggest getting each child a Disney Gift Card with their allotted amount to spend. When it is used up, they are done shopping. This will keep them on budget for sure!

I hope these tips helped.  Enjoy your vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
