We are Planing a Disney World vacation for my Son’s Birthday, he is turning 3, 2 days in to out vacation do I need to pay for a Ticket for those 2 days as well?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Marina!

Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World! It looks like you will be arriving in a few months—THIS IS SO EXCITING! We know you are going to have the most MAGICAL time ever! Oh, and Mickey and Minnie just told me they can't wait to "See You REAL Soon!"

Let me first start off by saying that Disney World is the absolute BEST place to celebrate a birthday! Your son will feel like he is stepping into his own adventure as he rides his favorite attractions and meets so many incredible Disney characters. AND, you must pick up a "Happy Birthday" button at Guest Relations, located at the entrance of each theme park, for your son to wear. I PROMISE he will have SO many people wish him "Happy Birthday" throughout the day. He will truly feel like a valiant prince returning home from his victory!

Now, I'd like to answer your question...

    * If you are staying at one of the Disney Resorts, I have some TIGGER-ific news for you! I am very happy to share with you that you will not have to purchase theme park tickets for him during the second half of your vacation. This is because Mickey Mouse can verify his age and honor your arrival date since your Prince Charming will arrive before his big day!

    * If you are not staying at a Disney resort, you will need to purchase Disney Theme Park tickets for your son. This is because a Disney resort stay is recognized as one visit. If you stay off-property or not at a resort that can be linked to your My Disney Experience account, your vacation will not be recognized as one visit.

If you want a great place to have a fun dinner and celebrate your son's birthday, I highly recommend Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort! This is the ultimate spot to celebrate a birthday because you get to dine with Mickey, Minnie, and the whole gang while enjoying a fun, all-you-can-eat feast! With lively music, napkin twirling, and surprise birthday treats, the energy here makes every guest—especially your birthday star—feel extra special!

As you continue to plan, please make sure to check out the Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information regarding all things Disney. Mickey and his pals have some great surprises planned this year, and we don't want you to miss a thing!

If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way we can!

    Have a MAGICAL day!

    Wes
