    Hi! We are planing a Disney trip this September & I just made all of our reservations. I have been told to head to our restaurant an hour before our reservation. Is this much extra time necessary? (We will have our own vehicle) THANKS!!

    One of my most favorite times to visit Walt Disney World is in September, especially when the "Free Disney Dining" promotion is being offered! 



    You ask a really great question!  From my experience, giving yourself an hour of travel time allows your family to be stress free as you make your way to your Disney Dining Restaurant.  While it is nice to have your car, you never know how long it will take you to park, travel from your car to the Disney Park Entrance, get through the turnstile lines, and then make your way to your restaurant.  If you don't want to give yourself an hour of travel time, I would at least give yourself 45 minutes.  If you get to the restaurant early, then spend some time looking at the surrounding shops or even ride an attraction that has a short line.
