    Our plane lands 11:30 pm. When called to make res., rep suggested adding 1st night to plan rather than a room-only. He said there was a good chance we would have to switch rooms if we didn't. Have any of you had that problem?

    Hi Kim!

    Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World!

    Did you purchase a Disney Magic Your Way Vacation Package?  If you did so, but planned to fly in one day earlier, and added an extra night at your resort outside of your package, you may have to move into a new room when your MYW Package begins, especially if the Resort is crowded and particular rooms have been set aside for this.

    If you have crunched the numbers and it doesn't make sense for you to add an extra day to your package, then I recommend that you discuss this with the Cast Member who checks you in at the Resort.  Let them know that you prefer to stay in the same room, and they will do all they can to accommodate your request, especially if the Resort is not crowded and the rooms are available.

    If they do have to move you to another room the next day, then my recommendation is to come prepared for this, by packing only the essentials you will need to get a good night's rest and get ready the next morning for the Parks in an overnight bag, eliminating the need to unpack all of your suitcases that first night.  Then, when you leave to go to the Parks, let the Front Desk and Bell Services know that your luggage is ready, and that you are moving to another room, and they tag and hold your luggage, and will move it into your new room when it is ready, so you can go on to the Parks.  That way, it will be there in your new room when you return from the Parks that evening!
