Our plane lands at MCO airport at 7pm. What time do you think we will get to our resort, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and what do you suggest we do for dinner? We will have the dining plan. We have older teens, no little ones.

    Hi, Michele!

I have teenagers, too. Although I miss having little ones sometimes, I also really enjoy not having to worry about bedtimes and being able to have late dinners!

If your plane lands at 7:00 p.m. you can count on being at your resort no later than 8:30 p.m.  You should be able to drop your bags in your room and head to dinner by 9:00 p.m. You have some great choices at Animal Kingdom Lodge. A wonderful buffet at Boma or a dinner at Sanna or Jiko are all great options.

What your family might enjoy most is to just head to The Mara, your resorts food court, and order some quick service and sit pool side to enjoy your late dinner. My kids love doing this. It is a great way to enjoy your resort, relax a bit, and get to bed at a decent time so you can be "up and at 'em" early the next morning. This way, too, you are not rushing to a dining reservation, or eating a huge meal if you find you are not that hungry late at night.

If you go this route, you will have a table service credit that you could have used, so make sure to book enough table service meals to use up all your credits during the remainder of your stay.

Have a wonderful vacation at the beautiful Animal Kingdom Lodge!
