Our plane arrives on the 2nd at 12:30 and we will only have a partial day. We are trying to decide between Epcot and Hollywood Studios. for that day Epcot closes at 8 and HS closes at 7. What do u suggest?

Hello Jessica!  You know, this really is a hard question for me.  I LOVE both parks!  So, I have put myself in your shoes and have come up with a plan that, in my opinion, would be the best decision.  I would take advantage of the park that is staying open until 8:00 p.m.  In this case, that park would be Epcot.  After a day of traveling, Epcot seems to offer some tranquility where you can wind down.   The evening can be very peaceful as you travel through the World Showcase and enjoy all the sounds and treats of many different countries.  You should also be able to get on some of the thrill rides that Epcot has to offer.  Test Track and Soarin' are fantastic!
I love to utilize all the hours that Walt Disney World has to offer.  So, when I get on that plane to come home, I feel satisfied.  I hope this helps and may your future travel be filled with many new and beautiful memories.
