Plane arrives in Orlando 11:25 am. Would it be too overwhelming for a 6 yr olds 1st trip to make reservations for bibbIdi bobbiDi boutique and dinner @ castle later that afternoon /evening?

    Hello Karla!

It's so exciting when you land at Orlando International Airport and board your Magical Express motorcoach.  You just want to hit the ground running as soon as you arrive at your resort and get all checked in.  It typically takes around an hour to get from the airport to your resort.  Because you'll be arriving early in the afternoon, your resort room may not be ready when you arrive.  However, you can check in, get your park tickets, hit up the pool (there are locker rooms available at most resorts), or leave your carry-ons with Bell Services and head right to the parks.

For us, our arrival day is spent getting acquainted with our resort and relaxing.  We find the travel wears out the kids (especially when no one sleeps the night before because we're too excited!) and they aren't ready to head into the parks right away.  Downtown Disney is a great place to hang out on arrival night.  The next day we are rested and ready to dive head-first into the magic of the theme parks.
My advice would be to save the special experience for another evening.  It can be very overwhelming for younger children to travel and adjust to their new surroundings.  If you try to do too much too quickly, everyone will burn out.  Maybe make the appointment and dinner reservation for the following day.  That way their first full day at Walt Disney World will be extra special and one they (and you) will never forget.
