Hi. I plan to come to Disneyland on June 12th for a day and keep reading Critter Country is closed. Will anything Winnie the Pooh related be affected at that time? Came all the way from Southern IL and really want to at least see my favorite bear.

Hi Spencer! Thanks for visiting planDisney.

As it turns out, I am your neighbor across the river, so I know it's a big deal when making the trip to Disneyland Resort. Of course, you want to see all your favorite Characters and experience all your must-do Attractions. We do too! Unfortunately, sometimes things are temporarily closed for refurbishment. For example, we weren't able to ride the Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square at Disneyland Park on our last visit due to the refurbishment it has been undergoing. We missed our favorite happy haunts. But it will return better than ever with enhancements to its queue.

You can always check the Daily Events Schedule for information on refurbishments, as well as Entertainment, Parades, and Fireworks. Schedules are subject to change, but this schedule can help guide your planning. Just adjust the date at the top to reflect your preferred park day. I checked for you, and it does appear as if Pooh Corner and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in Critter Country at Disneyland Park will be temporarily closed during your visit. So, I can't guarantee that you'll see your favorite bear on this visit. I'm sorry if that's disappointing!

However, you can check for Characters using the map on the Disneyland mobile app. Change the select at the top from "Attractions" to "Characters." This will bring up a series of Mickey Mouse icons. When you tap an icon, you'll be able to see what Characters you can hope to find in this spot, as well as when they might appear. Some Characters are roaming and others are Meet & Greet spots. Appearances are subject to change.

You'll see lots of Characters while at the parks, and some of my favorite interactions are with the roaming Characters you casually encounter while enjoying the parks. Last trip, my boys and I ran into Pinocchio in Fantasyland, and he was peering into a popcorn cart, clearly wishing he could enjoy a snack. We got some great pictures with him!

    Have a magical time.
