Hiya, Ryan, and a
GRAND welcome to planDisney!
Combining the sounds, scents, and tastes (looking at you,
Enchanted Rose) of
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa's grand lobby with those of
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort (swirl
DOLE Whip, anyone?) sounds like the makings of a practically perfect Walt Disney World Resort vacation to me, so let's get right to your question!
Some fellow panelists consider this a hot take, but I recently mentioned on the
planDisney Podcast that I just love traveling between destinations at Walt Disney World Resort on foot when possible. Walt Disney World's Imagineers demonstrate such effort and thought in all aspects of The Most Magical Place on Earth, so I love embracing every opportunity to take it all in. With Seven Seas Lagoon as your backdrop and two of the most beautiful Disney Resort hotels as your destinations, the walkway connecting the Grand Floridian to the Polynesian is one of my favorite places to sneak in a delightful stroll. This path was recently unavailable due to construction on the Polynesian's new
Island Tower, so I'm happy to report that I just confirmed with a Cast Member the walkway has reopened. Although the closure might have posed a slight inconvenience, the recently revealed
sneak peek of the rooms inside the Island Tower has me convinced that it was definitely worth it. As a reminder, if for some reason the walking path is unavailable during your vacation, the
Resort Monorail loop also connects the two Resorts. Just remember to stand clear of the doors!
I hope this was helpful, Ryan, and that your upcoming vacation is filled with magical memories. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to
stop back by. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
