Hey there J,
Welcome back to planDisney and thanks so much for your question!
While I can't speak to any particular crowd prediction calendar that's out there, you can certainly find some online and compare them for the dates you're trying to decide between.
In general, I've found the
When to Visit FAQ page to be a helpful overview of the year and it has been accurate in my experience. I'll also add my opinion in here that I have used various crowd predictors in the past to try to find just the right days to visit and - to be honest - don't really feel much of a difference between what they've suggested might be a moderately busy day versus a busy day, etc. To me, the nuances between days in rating systems haven't been very noticeable other than when it's busy, it feels busy!
Having said that, I'm still all for using whatever tools you think are helpful when planning your upcoming trips. I have visited around the time of half-marathon weekends and it does get busy, but I would suspect a trip around mid-February would likely feel a bit less busy in comparison - especially if you were able to visit during the week at some point.
The things I take into consideration when planning a trip are surrounding holidays (which tend to coincide with busier park days), day of the week, various
Magic Key blockout dates, and season of the year.
Then when the park is busy during a visit, I think it's important to think about the goals of your trip. If you're trying to experience as many attractions as possible then I would suggest staying in one of the
hotels of the Disneyland Resort and getting into a park for
Early Entry each morning, prioritizing attractions during parades and nighttime spectaculars, and even taking a mid-day break when the parks feel busy to get some rest so you can stay in the parks until close when the crowds tend to lessen a bit.
I hope that's helpful, J! Thanks again for your question and I hope you have a fun time visiting the Happiest Place on Earth next year.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
