Hi Andrew and welcome back to planDisney!
The
Walt Disney World Water Parks are a main destination for my family! My kids are water babies, so they love to visit and splash around the two water parks whenever they can. Since we are water park
annual passholders, we visit as often as possible, especially during the summer and on the weekends.
My daughter has the same question as you!
Disney's Blizzard Beach is her favorite of the two water parks and she's been very anxious for Blizzard Beach to reopen. Unfortunately, we do not currently have a time frame for when it will open after its scheduled refurbishment. Last year, it reopened in November, so I would venture to guess that
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon will remain open for a few more months after the
Disney H2O Glow After Hours end in September.
If you haven't been to Typhoon Lagoon already, I highly recommend it. It's my personal favorite because I love playing in the
Surf Pool. Hearing the big WHOOSH of the waves when we enter the park makes me giddy and excited to jump right in.
Ketchakiddee Creek is the perfect area if you have a little one under 48". My kids are too tall now, but we spent most of our Typhoon Lagoon days there when they were younger. I also love this park because it has two family raft rides,
Miss Adventure Falls and
Gangplank Falls, which means everyone gets to ride together and there's no height requirement, so even the littlest swimmers get to go!
Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
