Hi planDisney! We are celebrating a birthday at The Boathouse. What are our options to have a cake at the Boathouse? If one is to bring a cake from Amorettes then can you please advise how many people the Mickey Mouse Petit Cake will feed? Thank you.

Hi Rosangela, welcome back to planDisney! We are always happy to help a guest, and especially when a celebration is involved. Let's get this party started!

Birthday celebrations are something my family loves to do. When they are at Walt Disney World everyone can get excited about that kind of party. Disney Springs is a part of every one of my visits to Walt Disney World, and so is picking up macarons from Amorette's Patisserie. I have always seen the Mickey Mouse Petit cake but the macarons have always sang to me. The petit cakes are actually a little too small to feed more than one. However there are two larger cakes which may feed your group at The BOATHOUSE birthday dinner. You can pre-order the "Signature Cake" which feeds 12 to 15. This cake has 11 layers of deliciousness and is top dog of them all. If your group is smaller there is also the "6 Character-Inspired Dome Cakes" that serve 8 to 10 people, and are all available in 4 flavors. Both cakes come in a really cool keepsake box as well.

If you plan on ordering a cake guests are encouraged to order up to 30 days in advance, but a minimum of 48 hours advance notice. You will need to call or swing by the shop. Swinging by the shop from Tennessee doesn't seem feasible, so I would call. The number is listed at the bottom of the Amorette's link above. I think another really convenient option is that you may be able to have it delivered. Not all locations are available for delivery, and if the option isn't there at least you can arrive ahead of your meal to pick up the cake.

If your birthday person is up for adventure The BOATHOUSE has an awesome experience and possible birthday gift would be a drive/float in a vintage Amphicar. These amphibious vehicles are always pretty impressive to see go from land to water in an instant. Also during your stay make sure you find a Cast Member to let an  "I'm celebrating" button. These let everyone know you are celebrating a birthday and sometimes pixie dust surprises happen. At the very least everyone will wish that person in your party a happy birthday during your visit.

You have some time to weigh out your options for this plan. Which is coming together very nicely I might add. You know you are welcome back at planDisney.com anytime, and we are always happy to see you back.

    Have a magical day,

    Jeremy A.
