Plan the whole trip. I have a point card that I need to redeem the points.

    Hiya Halle,

Welcome to planDisney, from a fellow Texan. I'm so excited that you want to redeem your points for a Walt Disney World Resort this May. With the 50th Anniversary Celebration, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and the return of Character Hugs, May is an ideal time to visit Walt Disney World Resort.

In my humble opinion, there are three different levels of trip planning for a Walt Disney World Resort Vacation, and depending on which one, you prefer a different person to help. So let's figure out which planning path works best for you.

Driver Seat: If you want to do most of the Planning but just want a happy co-pilot to help you pick the right path and provide suggestions for pit stops, then I'm your girl! A planDisney panelist can help you by offering recommendations for Theme Park tickets, advanced dining reservations, Enchanting Extras, and even Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotels. We can advise, but ultimately you are in the driver's seat and make the reservations and choices.

Side-seat Driver: If you want someone to split the responsibility with you and book the basics of your vacation (Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotel stay and Theme Park tickets), then this is the time to reach out to a Cast Member. A Walt Disney World Cast Member can help you create a Vacation Package that fits your budget and timeline. However, when it comes to booking your dining and Enchanting Extras, you are responsible for that. If you want some of the tasks off your list but still want some control, you can contact a Cast Member to get your Vacation Package at 407-939-1936.

Back-seat Passenger: If you want to hand over the wheel to someone else and just sign your approval, look no further than an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. Walt Disney World trains these expert planners to help you find great deals for your Walt Disney World Vacation and plan your vacation details. Their services are offered for free and are very helpful. You will need to have at least two pieces of information before you talk to them, though: your budget and timeline. If you are interested in this option, there are a lot of Authorized Disney Vacation Planners to choose from; all it takes is a quick Google search.

I hope that one of these planning journeys works for you, Halle! If there is anything else I can do to help you further, please reach out.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.

Hey Y'all! I’m Ashley and I live in Texas. My family and I love trying out the yummy snacks (DOLE Whip anyone!) and taking full advantage of our resort days. When we are not piloting the Millennium Falcon, exploring Kilimanjaro Safaris, or watching fireworks, you can find me planning our next adventure to Walt Disney World! I am so excited that you are planning a trip, and I look forward to helping you dig a little deeper and find the magic in all of the wonders of Walt Disney World Resort. Learn More About Ashley
