We plan on going to WDW for our son's 5th birthday. Is there anything special that WDW does for little one's birthdays without having to pay crazy expenses?

    Hi ZoeAnn!

This is a great question. You should pick up a birthday button at your Disney Resort hotel or at the first theme park you visit; just stop in Guest Services. Be sure it is worn for the entire trip as it alerts the Disney Cast Members. You can also order a rather inexpensive celebration cake at any Table Service restaurant upon check-in. You can also pre-order a custom birthday cake but that is more expensive. Being in Walt Disney World is already pretty special, so for something relatively inexpensive I recommend doing a Disney Character Dining Experience for the birthday meal.

I hope this helps. Please write back with more questions.
