I plan on going to Walt Disney World in December 2012. I am wondering if purchasing an Annual Passholder ticket is worth the money and how exactly it works. For instance, if we buy a vacation package will I be able to use it? Are there blackout dates, et

    Hi, Ami!

As an Annual Passholder myself, I can tell you that the investment has paid for itself many, many times over.

You will have 365 days of unlimited Park Hopper access from the day you purchase your Pass. Parking, currently $14 per vehicle, is also included. And you receive a 10% discount on merchandise and at many of the eateries on property. There are also discounts on shows, sports and recreation, and tours.

The Annual Pass also provides significant discounts on Resort hotel rooms (depending on the season and room availability), and on rental transportation from Alamo Rent-A-Car.

    There are no blackout dates.

You'll receive, quarterly the Mickey Monitor newsletter, a Passholder periodical that will inform you of upcoming events, priority and discount purchase opportunities, and Passholder exclusives.

If you purchase a package, your Annual Pass will remove the need for you to purchase tickets as part of or in addition to the room/dining.

I hope this helps you make your decision!

    See you later, celebrator!
