I plan on visiting WDW in the middle of may for 10 days I'm from Germany and a bit confused with American holidays and spring break etc.Is there any break or something like that in may so that it is extra crowded during our stay? Thank you so much!

Willkommen, Martina! I'm so glad you stopped by to see us today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Let's help you plan your magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

While I'd probably tell you anytime is a great time for Walt Disney World, you truly have chosen an ideal time to visit. Your mid-May arrival date is perfectly situated between some of the busier periods in the Parks. Spring break and Easter crowds are concentrated in March and April, while the Memorial Day holiday that kicks off summer doesn't happen until the end of May. I think your decision to visit in the middle of May was practically perfect!

Martina, don't forget to pack your swimsuits for your visit. The weather here in May is usually quite warm, so you'll definitely want to hit your Resort hotel pool or one of the Disney water parks! You should also be sure to bring light clothing and drink lots of water to help stay cool while you're at Walt Disney World. And here's a "cool" Mom Tip: You can request cups of ice water for free at any quick service dining location in the Theme Parks.

When it's time to play in the Parks, don't miss the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, which will still be in full bloom during your visit. You'll love the gorgeous floral displays and the popular topiaries!

I hope this helps you plan an a-MAY-zing visit to Walt Disney World, Martina. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
