I plan on visiting two of the DisneyWorld theme parks. My grandchildren have been to the Magic Kingdom in CA numerous times so I am not sure we want to visit the one in Florida. They range in age from 2 to 7. Which other theme park is the best option.

    Hi Katherine,

All three of the other theme parks have great attractions for children of those ages.  I think the park that is most different from anything you'll find in either of the Southern California parks is Animal Kingdom.  Kilimanjaro Safari is incredible, and the details throughout the park are like being in Africa.

Choosing between Epcot and Hollywood Studios is a little trickier.  Honestly, I lean towards Epcot; however, if your grandchildren are huge fans of Pixar movies (Toy Story, Cars, Monsters Inc.) then Hollywood Studios is not to be missed.

Epcot, however, has Living Seas with Nemo and Friends.  My younger kids love that.  There are also attractions in the Land Pavilion, Journey Into Imagination and Spaceship Earth that they really seem to enjoy.  I think that Epcot is more conducive to a long day spent inside the parks.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
