I plan on visiting the park after 4 pm do I require a park reservation?

Melissa, this feels like the luckiest day ever. I'm honored to help another Melissa with a planning question! I'm glad you are here.

Whether you've got a standard theme park ticket or hold a Magic Key pass, visiting a Disneyland Resort theme park still requires a theme park reservation, even if you want to visit for just the afternoon. The current policy states that "each Guest is required to have a theme park reservation in addition to a valid ticket for the same park on the same date." I'm sorry to say, but you will still need to book a theme park reservation for your visit, Melissa. I know this is a bummer.

While it looks like, for now, there are plenty of park reservations still available on February 7, if you're coming for a multi-day trip that exceeds the number of reservations your Magic Key can hold, it is sometimes possible to snag a last-minute reservation or book a new reservation once you've scanned into a park for a reservation. The theme park reservation calendar availability is regularly updated, so you may see fluctuations in availability throughout the day.

Be sure to check the Disney Parks Blog and Disneyland Instagram to find out what is going on in the parks during your visit! The Lunar New Year Celebration is going on for a few more days, so I hope you are able to enjoy the "Year of the Snake" festivities during your visit!

Melissa, I am so glad you stopped by. Please visit me again, if you have any more questions!

    See ya real soon,
    Melissa
