I plan on visiting Disneyworld with my wife and 2 kids in September of 2024. I would love to book a room at the Grand Floridian that has views of the castle and fireworks at night. What room should I book to ensure these views? Thank you.

Hi Michael! Let me start by saying that you’ve made an excellent resort choice! Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is my family’s favorite hotel at the Walt Disney World Resort! It truly feels like our “Disney home.”

When making your reservation, you will want to select “Theme Park View” when provided with your room choices. In all honesty, you can’t go wrong with any room at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa! But a theme park view room does add a little extra magic to your resort reservation! Nice touch, Michael! The family will appreciate the care you took to make the visit extra special!

One of my favorite places at the hotel is the outdoor seating area just outside of Gasparilla Island Grill at night. You can see Cinderella Castle in the distance! I enjoy sitting there at night while Happily Ever After, the fireworks show at Magic Kingdom Park, is occurring. The music for the fireworks show is played in this area so Guests of the hotel can enjoy the fireworks!

The pools at the resort are another family favorite! We enjoy spending our afternoons at the resort rather than being in the parks. The pools at this resort truly make it feel like you are on vacation! The poolside Cast Members are exceptional in serving your needs! Access to the Monorail is another bonus to staying at this resort! Once you step aboard the Monorail at the resort, your next stop is Magic Kingdom Park! Of course, Monorail (and other Disney Transportation) is a complimentary perk to all Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel!

    Happy Planning!
