Hiya, Emily!
A visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth is a
practically perfect way to mark life's magical milestones. In fact, celebrating birthdays at Walt Disney World Resort is one of my favorite pastimes, so I'm delighted that you stopped by planDisney with your question!
Although a visit to Walt Disney World will transport you to outer space, other planets, foreign countries, and the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy, you'll still be subject to the laws of the United States of America. As such, Walt Disney World Resort strictly enforces its
proof of identification policies when serving alcohol. Once your driver's license has expired, it will no longer be an accepted form of identification, Emily. If you have a valid passport, you're welcome to use it as identification to order a beverage. If celebrating your 21st with a toast is important to you and you don't have a valid passport, you might consider renewing your license before its official expiration date.
If renewing early isn't an option, there are so many ways to celebrate a special occasion at Walt Disney World without the purchase of alcohol. Be sure to pick up a celebration button from your Disney Resort hotel or Guest Services at any theme park. Since it's such a milestone birthday, you might consider having it beautifully personalized at
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Magic Kingdom Park for a small fee. I also think it's a great idea to honor the occasion by choosing an experience from the
Enchanting Extras Collection. From encounters with animals to fireworks dessert packages, there's truly something for everyone, and I think you'll love having a specific experience to associate with such a magical milestone.
I'm sure this isn't the answer you were hoping for, Emily, but I'm hopeful that the information I shared was helpful. If you need any additional assistance as your countdown draws to a close, feel free to
stop back by. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
