Plan visit in the 2nd week of December.Party of 6 ie granddad, grandma, mum, dad, girl 12 and boy 9. What and which is the best priced hotel accomodation arrangement that we should be looking at? 2 bedroom suite or 2 rooms? Moderate to deluxe resorts.

It entirely depends on your budget, theme preference and accommodation needs.

First, moderate to deluxe resorts have a huge price range. Two bedroom suites would be costly, however Disney Vacation Club suites would offer a kitchen, living room, washer/dryer and two bathrooms. These are fabulous rooms.

For a moderate, I would recommend either Caribbean Beach Resort or Port Orleans. Port Orleans Riverside would offer Southern charm and hospitality. Port Orleans French Quarter is charming with a Mardi Gras flair. It is a small resort. Caribbean Beach is a tropical oasis. What theme would your family enjoy the most?

The Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge resorts are deluxe resorts with more moderate prices than the other resorts in the deluxe category. I recommend either of these resorts for a family vacation although when we've traveled with our parents (my son's grandparents) they've enjoyed the Wilderness Lodge more than AKL.

For a deluxe resort, look at the Polynesian Resort which is on the monorail line, has tropical warmth and offers large, standard rooms. The Grand Floridian is breathtaking, offers monorail transportation and a like the Polynesian, has a great pool. The Yacht and Beach Club offer a great pool (the best at WDW) along with close proximity to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

I would recommend deciding first your budget per night. Then look at the amenities that are important to you. Next, decide on the theme that appeals to your traveling party. Do you picture a tropical getaway or a down home wilderness kind of feel? The Wilderness Lodge is spectacular at Christmas!

Try to sort out a few of the above decisions. Feel free to stop back and we'd be happy to help you again!
