Hi Bessie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
It sounds like you have some super fun plans this
holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort! I can't think of a better way to ring in the new decade than at "The Most Magical Place on Earth." With New Year’s Celebration Dance Parties in Frontierland and Tomorrowland, and the special Fantasy in the Sky fireworks display at night,
New Year's Eve is a LOT of fun in Magic Kingdom Park!
While there is no way to predict exactly when
Magic Kingdom Park will close for capacity, I can tell you that last year it closed around 11:30 AM. In addition, there were very long lines of cars trying to get into the parking lot at that time, many that had to be turned away, so I strongly recommend you plan to arrive early in the day. Normally, Guests can leave and return to the same theme park on the same day with a valid theme park admission ticket, but on days that the park reaches capacity, Guests will not be able to return.
Since it is a long and full day in the theme park, you may want to schedule in some breaks. There are benches all around the theme park, indoor seating at many
Quick-Service dining locations, and
Tom Sawyer Island usually provides a little bit of a quieter atmosphere that can be perfect for some downtime.
I hope this helps as you plan your day, Bessie! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
