we plan to visit the Epcot next month. this is our first time. do we need reservation to dine in the restaurant?

    Hi Maria!

Welcome to planDisney.  Don't tell the other parks, but EPCOT might just be my favorite spot at Walt Disney World Resort.  I could spend hours wandering through World Showcase, taking in every detail (and eating all the food) in each of the countries, before heading over to the all-new Space 220 Lounge for dinner and a little stargazing –– talk about a perfect day! I'm so excited to hear that you'll be experiencing EPCOT for the first time in just a few weeks!

Whether you're an adventurous eater, a fancy fine-diner, or on the hunt for comfort food, you can bet you'll find plenty of options at EPCOT.  While dining reservations aren't required to dine at most EPCOT restaurants, they are highly recommended. Here's the great news, though –– you can easily make dining reservations right from your phone using the My Disney Experience mobile app.  After signing in with your Disney Account, tap the "+" sign and select "Check Dining Availability" from the menu.  After inputting your party size and date, you'll be able to choose a time and search for available tables.  If you'd prefer not to make reservations in advance, you can also use this page to join the walk-up list at an available restaurant once you arrive at EPCOT.

Since you'll be visiting during the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, you might also want to consider wandering through the festival's Outdoor Kitchens in place of a sit-down meal.  This is one of my favorite things to do during the festival –– there are so many delicious dishes to sample and I love getting a little taste of foods from all over the world.  You can read more about all the tasty options available in the Foodie Guide to the 2022 International Flower & Garden Festival over at Disney Parks Blog.  Be sure to check it out!

I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney, Maria.  I hope your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation (and your first EPCOT visit!) is filled with pixie dust from beginning to end!
