We plan to visit DW and want to focus on Hollywood Studios. I have a quote for Port Orleans Riverside and the Disney Yacht Club. There doesn't appear to be much of a difference between the rooms. Is there a good reason to choose DYC over Port Orl?

Hi, Ken! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Even though you have a tough choice ahead, it's also a happy one: you can't go wrong! Both Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and Disney's Yacht Club Resort are excellent choices, but there are, indeed, a few differences between them.

Disney's Yacht Club Resort has slightly larger rooms and offers a more luxurious setting. This Resort also offers the absolute best pool at the Walt Disney World Resort (it even has a lazy river): Stormalong Bay. Another thing that also makes it even more luxurious, in my opinion, is the wide variety of food options. There are nine restaurants and bars at this Resort, ranging from the refined Signature Dining Yachtsman Steakhouse to the relaxed Crew's Cup Lounge.

It's also very strategic for you because it's closer to Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you intend to enjoy the newest areas of this Theme Park (like Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and Toy Story Land), every minute will be strategic. If you're looking to beat the crowds, it's a smart choice!

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, on the other hand, will offer you a more secluded and relaxed atmosphere that's perfect for enjoying after a long day at the Theme Park. If you're looking for a quieter environment, this Disney Resort hotel would be an ideal choice. The choice is undoubtedly hard, but you will have a fantastic vacation ahead, no matter which way you choose to go!

If more questions pop up as you plan this adventure, Ken, don't hesitate to stop by. We will be here waiting to help you many times more!

May the magic (and the Force) be with you,
